A Harris County man is suing after he was injured in a car accident allegedly caused by a drunk driver.

Homero Oyervides filed a lawsuit April 30 in the Galveston Division of the Southern District of Texas against Michael Roy Stapp, citing negligence.

Oyervides claims he sustained injuries when the car he was riding in on West Main Street in Galveston County was struck by Stapp on Feb. 14, 2013. The suit alleges Stapp was intoxicated and had unlawful weapons in his vehicle at the time of the accident.

Oyervides is seeking damages in excess of the minimum jurisdictional limit of the court, interest and court costs.

He is being represented in the case by Houston attorney Wade D. Moriarty of The Crim Law Firm PC.
