A woman is suing two people after being injured in a traffic accident.

Claire Hollins filed a lawsuit April 16 in the Galveston County District Court against Sydney Eileen Widenhouse and Scott Bentley, citing negligence.

The lawsuit states Hollins was driving south on the Interstate Highway 45 feeder road on Sept. 9, 2012, and turned into the westbound lane on the State Highway 6 entrance ramp when she was struck from behind by a vehicle driven by Widenhouse. Bentley owns the vehicle and gave Widenhouse permission to drive it, the complaint states.

Hollins sustained serious personal injuries, has medical expenses, will lose earning capacity and have physical impairment in the future, according to the complaint.

Hollins is seeking damages between $200,000 and $1 million.

She is being represented by Gene S. Hagood of Hagood & Neumann in Houston.
