Property owner looks to court to settle dispute

Deed

A property owner is seeking a judge’s decision to partition property so he can sell it.

Sean Auguste filed a petition April 17 in the Jefferson County District Court against Leo Boudreaux, Mary Carolyn Clophus, Frances A. Jaroudi, Mary June Hamaoui, Jospeh T. Boudreaux, Myra Thomas and Jason Brian Thomas, citing differences in a decision on a land sale.

The petition states the real property belongs to all the parties through the probate of Lula F. Auguste. A purchaser has made an offer on the property and the majority of the defendants are willing to sell, but some are not, the petition states.

Auguste is seeking for the court to partition the property and grant any other relief entitled in the law or in equity.

He is being represented by private attorney Brad Elrod of the law firm of Lindsey B. Whisenhant in Woodville.
