Man sues city of Beaumont, driver over traffic injuries

A man is suing a city of Beaumont driver and the city after a traffic accident resulted in injuries.


Kevin Boyce, as guardian of Allen Marcus Boyce, filed a lawsuit April 17 in the Jefferson County District Court against Joshua Beard and the city of Beaumont, citing negligence.



The lawsuit states on Feb. 16, Allen Marcus Boyce was driving his 2012 Chevrolet Camaro when he was struck by Beard, who was driving a 2011 Ford owned by the city of Beaumont. Boyce sustained injuries and other damages, the complaint said.


Boyce is seeking between $200,000 and $1 million in damages.


He is being represented by Anthony Malley III of the Malley Law Firm PLLC.
