Mario De Los Santos filed a petition for deposition July 15 in the Jefferson County District Court.
According to the petition, on July 15, 2013, the petitioner was working for Gerdau Ameristeel when the company lost power, which resulted in an explosion and fire which caused injuries to De Los Santos.
The petition has been filed to obtain documents about the incident from Gerdau and witness Bill Carlon to verify if there is sufficient cause to file a suit.
De Los Santos is seeking an order granting authorization to take the deposition of the named person and to obtain copies of documents needed for the pending suit.
