A trading company claims two Galveston County residents owe it more than $35,000 for materials delivered to them.

IGM Trading filed a lawsuit July 28 in the Galveston County Court at Law No. 3 against Cherian Abraham and Suju Abraham.

In its complaint, IGM claims it entered into a contract with the defendants to provide them with labor and materials to improve the couple’s property at 2019 Island Manor in League City. In turn, the Abrahams agreed to pay $40,402, according to the complaint.

Since then, however, the Abrahams have failed to pay for the materials, the suit states.

The amount due and owing by the defendants $37,735.17, the suit states.

In addition to the money it claims the Abrahams owe it, IGM seeks pre- judgment interest at the legal rate, plus attorney’s fees and costs. It is being represented by John K. George of Bellaire.
