A cabinet installer alleges a Santa Fe man owes him more than $6,200 for unpaid renovation work.
Ralph Chisholm, doing business as Ralph Chisholm & Son, filed a lawsuit against Jeremy B. McCollum on Aug. 12 in Galveston County District Court.
Beginning December 2012, Chisholm says he entered into a series of written and oral contracts with McCollum for a renovation project at a home on state FM 646 Road in Santa Fe. Chisholm says he agreed to fabricate and install cabinets in the house in exchange for a payment of $6,274.
Chisholm alleges McCollum has failed to pay the amount due despite written demands for payment. He accuses the defendant of a breach of contract and seeks actual, reliance and expectancy damages along with attorney fees and court costs.
