Man alleges injuries from collision

A man alleges he sustained personal injuries in a collision.

Roy Edward Knight II filed a lawsuit Sept. 17 in Jefferson County District Court against Orlan Sharp Jr. and Trishawna Sharp.

In his complaint, Knight says he sustained personal injuries in a collision April 29, 2013, in Jefferson County. He also suffered physical pain and mental suffering, incurred medical costs, lost his earnings and earning capacity, endured physical impairment and physical disfigurement and experienced emotional distress, according to the complaint.

Knight blames the defendants for failing to keep a proper lookout, for driving too fast, for failing to yield the right-of-way, for lacking proper control and for failing to timely apply their brakes.

Knight seeks a judgment in excess of the minimum jurisdictional limits of the court, plus pre- and post-judgment interest, costs and other relief the court deems just.

Attorneys Adam Nichols of Reaud, Morgan and Quinn in Beaumont will represent Knight.
