A Jefferson County woman is suing over claims she was injured in a collision when her car was rear-ended.
Vickie Sue Baumgardner filed a lawsuit Sept. 26 in Jefferson County District Court against Bobbie Droddy Barnett, citing negligence.
According to the complaint, Baumgardner was driving westbound on FM 365 on Sept. 27, 2012, when she started to slow down, and her vehicle was rear-ended by a vehicle driven by Barnett. Baumgardner says she sustained injuries, and Barnett is accused of negligence in failing to keep a proper lookout or turn in order to avoid a collision.
Baumgardner seeks damages, interest, costs of suit and attorney fees. She is represented by attorney Allen Parker of The Parker Law Firm in Port Arthur.
