Former sea employee sues Halliburton

A former employee who worked aboard a sea vessel owned by Halliburton is suing the oil drilling company, alleging he suffered serious injuries while on the job. 

Edmund Belflower filed a suit June 11 in the Galveston Division of the Southern District of Texas against Halliburton Co., Halliburton Energy Services Inc. and Offshore Service Vessels LLC.

The plaintiff was a seaman who was assigned to work aboard Halliburton’s vessel, the marine vessel Stim Star II. According to the suit, on June 26, 2013, while boarding the Stim Star II, Belflower suffered serious and disabling injuries which required ongoing medical treatment.

Belflower is alleging negligence on the part of the defendants and is seeking damages of an unspecified amount. The plaintiff is represented by attorney Harold Eisenman in Houston.
