Motorist alleges another driver caused rear-end collision

A Galveston County motorist is suing another driver and the owner of the vehicle, alleging injures she sustained in a car accident.

Sharon Wright filed a lawsuit July 16 in Galveston County District Court against Sundae Bulgherini and Jerry Bulgherini, both of La Marque, alleging negligence and negligent entrustment.

According to the complaint, on May 8, 2014, Wright was traveling near the Mall of the Mainland Parkway in Texas City when driver Sundae Bulgherini failed to stop for traffic and rear-ended Wright's vehicle. The suit states Bulgherini breached duty of care by not maintaining a proper lookout, failing to properly control her vehicle, failing to apply brakes in a timely manner, and not driving at a reasonable and safe speed.

The lawsuit faults Jerry Bulgherini for negligent entrustment, alleging he should have known that entrusting the vehicle to Sundae, a negligent and reckless driver, would lead to injury.

The plaintiff alleges she has and will continue to endure physical pain and medical expenses, and has suffered loss earnings.

Wright seeks all damages to which she is entitled to, plus court costs. She is represented by attorney Neil G. Baron of the Law Office of Neil G. Baron in Dickinson.

Galveston County District Court case number CV-0074696.
