Arizona woman, company sue National Carriers, driver, alleging negligence in collision

An Arizona woman and company are suing National Carriers and a driver, alleging a vehicle collision was caused by that driver.

Lauree Balconi, of Pima, Ariz., and Producers Logistics, of Las Vegas. filed a lawsuit Aug. 13 in Galveston County District Court, against National Carriers Inc. and Willie Woods Jr., alleging Woods struck Balconi's vehicle in a Galveston parking lot.

According to the complaint, on Sept. 15, 2014, Woods' negligent conduct while he was driving for National Carriers was the cause of the collision. The suit says Balconi suffered injuries to her head, neck, back, spine, shoulders, arms and legs as a result of the collision.

Balconi alleges she has paid and incurred, and will continue to pay and incur, medical expenses.

The plaintiffs seek monetary relief between $100,000 and $200,000, plus costs of the suit. They are represented by attorneys Timothy A. Beeton and Stakely McConnell of Simpson & Beeton in Galveston.
