A lawsuit brought by Jeffery and Veronica Book, who sued American Air Systems alleging the company installed a leaky unit in their home, has been called up for trial.
The suit was filed Nov. 17, 2011, in Jefferson County District Court.
Jury selection in the case began Aug. 31.
Judge Kent Walston, 58th District Court, said he expects the trial to last three to four days.
According to the original petition, the system installed by the defendant was constantly leaking and caused tremendous damage to the couple’s home.
The petition does not state when the unit was installed or if the defendant refused to repair the alleged leaky system.
