A Texas man is suing an oil and gas services company over claims of unpaid overtime wages.
Larry Raleigh, individually and for all others similarly situated, filed a collective action complaint Sept. 9 against IOS/PCI, LLC, doing business as Inspection Oilfield Services, alleging unpaid overtime wages in violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act.
The complaint states that during the time Raleigh has worked for the defendant as in inspector in the oilfield, since 2011, he has regularly worked more than 80 hours per week, receiving a fixed salary regardless of number of hours worked.
The complaint states that the defendant misclassified Raleigh and others in the class as exempt from overtime requirements, so they did not receive time-and-a-half for hours worked in excess of 40 hours per week.
Raleigh and others in the class seek to recover unpaid overtime wages and other damages, plus attorney fees and court costs.
