A Galveston County woman is suing a San Leon man, alleging negligence for injuries and damages resulting from a vehicle collision.

Tanya McRae, individually and as next friend of an unnamed individual, filed a lawsuit June 30 in Galveston County District Court against Mark Alan Lastovica of San Leon, alleging negligence and gross negligence.

According to the complaint, on April 18, the plaintiffs were in a vehicle exiting a parking lot at 701 East FM 646 in Galveston County, when Lastovica, driving eastbound on East FM 646, struck the plaintiff's vehicle.

The suit alleges Lastovica was negligent in failing to keep a proper lookout, speeding, following too closely, failing to yield the right-of-way and driving while intoxicated, among other negligent acts or omissions. As a result, the complaint alleges the plaintiffs suffered injury and property damages.

The plaintiffs seek monetary relief less than $200,000, plus attorney fees and costs of the suit. They are represented by attorney Rich Melendez of Melendez Law in Houston.

Galveston County District Court case number 15-cv-0658.
