TLRPAC endorses re-election of Justice Green to Texas SC

On Dec. 7 Texans for Lawsuit Reform PAC endorsed the re-election of Justice Paul Green for the Supreme Court of Texas.

“Justice Paul Green was first elected to the Supreme Court in 2004, where he has been a consistently conservative judge, strictly applying the plain words of our laws rather than interpreting them to suit his own purposes,” said TLRPAC Chairman Richard J. Trabulsi, Jr.

“Justice Paul Green has proven that he has the analytical skills, judicial temperament, and conservative judicial philosophy to decide cases fairly and soundly. He is known for his integrity, as well as his legal and judicial competence. Prior to his election to the Supreme Court he served for 10 years as a Justice on the Texas Fourth Court of Appeals. His challenger is a person who has never been a judge and whose judicial philosophy and temperament cannot be known.”

Before joining the Supreme Court of Texas, Green served for 10 years as a Justice on the Fourth Court of Appeals in San Antonio, according to his re-election website.

A native of San Antonio, Justice Green received his business degree from the University of Texas at Austin in 1974 and his law degree from St. Mary’s University School of Law in 1977.

TLRPAC has also endorsed Justice Michael Massengale of the First Court of Appeals in Houston for the Supreme Court of Texas as well as the re-election of Supreme Court Justice Eva Guzman.

Massengale will be challenging current Justice Debra Lehrmann in next year’s Republican primary.

TLRPAC is the political arm of Texans for Lawsuit Reform, the state's largest civil justice reform organization.
