GALVESTON— A Harris County man is suing Marathon Petroleum and other companies, alleging negligence caused him to fall and suffer injuries.

Freddie Evans filed a lawsuit Jan. 5 in Galveston County District Court against Marathon Petroleum Co LP, Brock Services LLC, Wyatt Oil and Gas LLC and KBR Plant SVS Inc, alleging negligence and premises liability.

According to the complaint, Evans was employed as a boilermaker and on Oct. 12, while he was carrying equipment for a work-related job in Texas City, he tripped on scaffolding and fell into a pipe valve. The suit says the plaintiff suffered injuries to face, neck, mouth and head.

Evans seeks damages for pain and suffering and medical costs, plus legal fees and a jury trial. He is represented by attorneys Michael E. Pierce and M. Paul Skrabanek of Pierce Skrabanek Bruera PLLC in Houston.
