HOUSTON – A former employee is suing a Houston real estate company, alleging failure to pay overtime and wrongful termination.

Robert Craft filed a lawsuit Jan. 26 in the Houston Division of the Southern District of Texas against First Cornerstone Group LLC, alleging unlawful termination and violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act.

According to the complaint, Craft worked more than 40 hours a week for Cornerstone but did not get paid any overtime wages. The suit says in mid-September 2015, when he began asking questions about overtime, he was fired Sept. 25, 2015, for having a ``bad attitude.”

Craft seeks actual and liquidated damages, pre- and post-judgment interest as provided by law and reasonable attorney fees. He is represented by attorney David C. Holmes of Houston.
