GALVESTON – A Harris County business alleges that a car dealer did not deliver the title to a Chevrolet pickup it purchased.
Halter Inc. filed a complaint on Feb. 17 in the Galveston County District Court against John Jay Joslin, doing business as Easy Loan Auto Sales, citing breach of contract.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on March 11, 2015, it purchased a pickup truck from the defendant for $8,000. The plaintiff holds the defendant responsible because it allegedly failed to deliver the title and did not have it on hand at the time of the purchase.
The plaintiff seeks the following: compensation for actual damages, treble damages of $24,000 and court costs. It is represented by Victor S. Elgohary.
