Oil worker alleges LT Energy Services failed to pay overtime

HOUSTON – An oilfield laborer is suing a Houston oilfield services company, alleging he is not being paid for working overtime.

Randy Fortmann, individually and for all others similarly situated, filed a lawsuit Dec. 18 against KLX Energy Services LLC doing business as a LT Energy Services, in the Houston Division of the Southern District of Texas, alleging violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act.

According to the complaint, Fortmann and other workers at KLX Energy are required to work at least 12 hours a day and regularly seven days week. As a result, he and others work generally 44 hours of overtime, the suit says, but the have not received payment for those overtime hours, the suit says.

Fortmann, seeks a jury trial, unpaid overtime wages, pre- and post-judgment interest at the highest applicable rates as well as attorney fees, costs and expenses.
