HOUSTON — A Louisiana crane operator is suing his employers, alleging unpaid overtime wages

Rodney Derouen of Lafayette, Louisiana, filed a lawsuit March 4 in the Houston Division of the Southern District of Texas against Superior Energy Services LLC, doing business as SPC Rentals, and Warrior Energy Services Corporation, alleging unpaid wages and violation of workers compensation acts.

According to the complaint, Derouen did not receive overtime pay for the weeks in which he worked more than 40 hours at a rate of one and one-half times his regular rate.

Derouen seeks compensation for unpaid overtime wages, liquidated damages, pre-judgment and post-judgment interest, court costs, attorney fees and all other relief the court deems proper. He is represented by attorney Charles A. Sturm of Sturm Law PLLC in Houston.
