Allstate Insurance Co. allegedly won't pay for uninsured driver's damages after an accident

Insurance 01

BEAUMONT — Two men have filed suit against an uninsured driver and an insurance company for alleged negligence that resulted in an injury after the driver purportedly fell asleep at the wheel while driving and crashed into the plaintiffs' truck and trailer full of livestock.

Charles Mitchell Soileau and Kenneth Soileau filed a complaint Feb. 26 in the District Court of Jefferson County against Terry Wayne Williams and Allstate Insurance Co., alleging that Williams wrongfully neglected his duty while operating a vehicle.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that on March 6, Charles Mitchell Soileau and Kenneth Soileau suffered injuries while their truck was struck by a Chevrolet Silverado driven by Williams. The plaintiff holds Terry Wayne Williams and Allstate Insurance Co. responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to stop when entering an intersection, causing his vehicle to hit the truck and trailer being operated by the plaintiff.

The plaintiffs seek compensation for all damages including interest and any other relief as the court deems just and proper. They are represented by Gregory Q. Fibich and Kenneth T. Fibich of Fibich Leebron in Houston.
