TEXARKANA – A Bowie County motorist is suing a truck driver and his employer alleging an accident caused injuries.

William Wallace filed a complaint on April 28 in the Texarkana Division of the Eastern District of Texas against the Stanley Mourton and Alton Bean Trucking, alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Aug. 24, 2014, he sustained personal injuries as a result of his car being struck from behind by a tractor-trailer operated by Mourton on Mall Drive. The plaintiff holds Mourton and Alton Bean Trucking Inc. responsible because Mourton allegedly failed to control the speed of his vehicle.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks economic, non-economic and compensatory damages; interest; all legal fees; and any other relief as the court deems just. He is represented by N. Eric Cooper of The Cooper Law Firm in Longview and J. Chandler Loupe of Gordon McKernan in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
