HOUSTON – A Houston man alleges that his employer failed to fairly compensate its employees.

Jermaine Maxwell filed a complaint in the Houston Division of the Southern District of Texas against Charles Gray, doing business as 2nd Debut Furniture Resale, alleging violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that he has occasionally worked for more than 40 hours per week but was not paid any overtime wages. The plaintiff holds Gray responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to pay overtime compensation at a rate of time-and-one-half and fair minimum wages to plaintiff according to the fair labor standards act.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks unpaid wages, liquidated damages equal to the unpaid wages, interest, all legal fees and any other relief as the court deems just. He is represented by Thomas H. Padgett Jr., Charles L. Scalise, and Daniel B. Ross of Ross Law Group in Bellaire and Austin.
