Seafood business alleges insurance firm breached contract

GALVESTON — A seafood business is suing an insurance firm, citing alleging failure to pay for the plaintiff's legal defense.

Milt's Seafood Plant, Inc., Michael Dolfi and Linda Dolfi filed a lawsuit June 13 in the Galveston Division of the Southern District of Texas against Acceptance Indemnity Insurance Company alleging breach of contract. 

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs were sued because their employee caused an an auto accident and was sued by Rachel Marie Hevrin and Robert Blaine Endicott, the individuals injured by the accident. The plaintiffs allege Acceptance Indemnity failed to pay the plaintiffs' settlements with the claims Hevrin and Endicott, a total of nearly $325,000. 

The plaintiffs seeks a trial by jury, additional damages, monetary damages, statutory damages, interest, all legal fees and any other relief as this court deems just. They are represented by attorneys Michael S. Callahan and Casey M. Brown of The Callahan Law Firm in Houston.
