Homeowner accuses contractors of defective construction

GALVESTON — A Galveston homeowner is suing contractors, alleging their negligent work was substandard.

4206 Pirates LLC snd Sherry Harber filed a lawsuit July 12 in Galveston County District Court against Russell Lawson and R. Lawson Electrical, alleging defective construction, gross negligence and breach of warranty.

According to the complaint, 4206 Pirates LLC and Sherry Harber have sustained significant electrical problems due to the defendants' substandard and subpar performance. The plaintiffs allege the defendants represented that their work is of the highest standard, failed to perform as a reasonable consumer would expect and failed to remedy the problem.

Harber and 4206 Pirates seek a trial by jury, monetary relief between $200,000 and $1 million, pre-judgment and post-judgment interest, attorney fees and legal costs, plus such relief to which they are justly entitled. They are represented by attorneys Darrell A. Apffel and Lauren Arisco of Bettison, Doyle, Apffel & Guarino PC in League City.
