The petition was filed through Darren Brown, a Provost Umphrey attorney, on July 22 in Jefferson County District Court.
According to the petition, Bryce Gibson was diagnosed acute myeloid leukemia. His disease is expected to progress and prove fatal.
Chevron has or will be notified that the plaintiffs will seek recovery of damages as a result of Bryce’s alleged benzene exposure.
Bryce’s testimony will focus on his chemical exposure.
Judge Donald Floyd, 172nd District Court, has been assigned to the case.
