Private school alleges parents failed to pay tuition fees

HOUSTON — A private school is suing a Harris County couple, alleging they owe nearly $18,000 in tuition payments. 

The Kinkaid School filed a lawsuit Aug. 3, in the Harris County District Court against Nicholas Florescu and Erin Florescu of Harris County, alleging breach of their settlement agreement.

According to the complaint, the Kinkaid School has suffered financial damages for not collecting a tuition payment in the amount of $17,930 from the defendants. The plaintiff alleges the Nicholas Florescus failed to make any payments on the debt following their $5,000 payment made Aug. 15, 2015 and have continued to refuse to pay their outstanding tuition obligations.

The Kinkaid School seeks a trial by jury judgment against defendants for $17,930, pre- and post-judgment interest, attorney fees, legal costs and all relief to which it is justly entitled. It is represented by attorneys Rhonda L. Allen and Linda Johnson White of The Cromeens Law Firm PC in Houston.
