The rankings, performed by U.S. News and World Report – Best Lawyers are based on an evaluation process that includes the collection of client and lawyer evaluations as well as peer review from leading attorneys in their field.
The nationwide process evaluated the law firms’ expertise, responsiveness, integrity, whether they would refer a matter to a firm, and whether they consider a firm a worthy competitor.
“We are honored to be included among the very top of all Texas law firms within our specialty areas of plaintiffs’ personal injury litigation, plaintiffs’ product liability litigation and commercial litigation,” said firm founder Chip Ferguson.
Both Ferguson and co-partner Jane Swearingen Leger were named to this year’s national Best Lawyers list, with Ferguson being recognized as the area’s “Lawyer of the Year” for product liability litigation.
