Restaurant customer files suit after fall

Slip02

HOUSTON — A Harris County woman is suing Go-Fin LLC, a restaurant operator, alleging insufficient measures were taken on its premises to prevent injuries.

Sandra Rico, former known as Sandra Soliz, filed a complaint on Feb. 27, in the Harris County District Court against Go-Fin LLC, alleging that the restaurant operator failed to maintain its floor in a safe condition.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges she visited the defendant's property to eat lunch with her co-workers on March 3, 2015, when she slipped and fell on a wet spot on the floor. She sustained injuries that caused her pain and suffering, lost earnings and medical expenses, the complaint said. The plaintiff holds Go-Fin LLC responsible because the defendant allegedly allowed the continued existence of a dangerous condition on the premises and failed to warn its guest of the unsafe condition.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks monetary relief of more than $100,000 but not more than $200,000 and other relief. She is represented by Robert Medina of Robert Medina, Attorney at Law in Houston.
