McMillan Building Movers Inc. employee files suit after hand injury

GALVESTON – A worker alleges his hand was injured while he was preparing a historical home to be raised.

Nathan Hiskett filed a complaint on July 10 in the Galveston County District Court against Dale George McMillan and McMillan Building Movers Inc. alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Oct. 14, 2016, he was working in the course and scope of his employment with defendants when the steel beam swung up and smashed his thumb. He alleges sustained serious injury resulting in physical pain and mental anguish, loss wages, medical expenses and disfigurement. 

The plaintiff seeks compensation in an amount of more than $200,000 but less than $1 million and such other and further relief. He is represented by E. A. Troy Apffel III of Apffel Law Firm in League City.
