HOUSTON – A Florida man alleges a vehicle he intended to purchase was misrepresented by a Texas dealership.
Fred Celi filed a complaint on July 20 in the Harris County District Court against Clear Lake Automotive Group Inc. alleging that the automobile dealer violated the Texas Deceptive Trade practices Act.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that he intended to purchase a 2008 Lexus ES that that the defendant had advertised with a listing price of $9,988 and 60,806 miles. He alleges that after he authorized the purchase of the car and arrived at the defendant's store to complete the transaction, the defendant refused to honor the price. The plaintiff also alleges that car had more miles than advertised.
The plaintiff seeks monetary relief of $100,000 or less and all other relief to which he may be entitled. He is represented by James Blackwell and Quentin D. Haag of Blackwell & Haag PC in Houston.
