SHERMAN – An Illinois man who formerly resided in Houston alleges his former industrial automation and tooling company employer terminated him because of his age.

Malcolm Holcombe filed a complaint on July 27 in the Sherman District of the Eastern District of Texas against Advanced Integration Technology alleging violation of the Age Discrimination in Employment Act.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff was hired as the defendant's director of manufacturing operations in 2013. The suit states he was terminated on Aug. 12, 2016, after his position was eliminated.

The plaintiff holds Advanced Integration Technology responsible because the defendant allegedly stripped him of many of his duties and responsibilities, refused to consider him in another position and terminated his employment and retained a younger worker.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks all damages, reinstatement to his position of employment in the alternative to front pay, liquidated damages, interest, attorney's fees, costs of court and any further relief to which he is entitled. He is represented by Hal K. Gillespie of Gillespie Sanford LLP in Dallas.
