HOUSTON – A Harris County man alleges he was injured at a Houston gym when the equipment struck him.

Demosthenes Psifidis filed a complaint on Oct. 31 in the Harris County Circuit Court against Life Time Fitness Inc. alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on May 19, he was injured while attempting to use the free motion dual cable cross machine at a Life Time Fitness facility in Houston. The suit states that the arm of the machine struck his head without warning.

He alleges he sustained serious injuries resulting in pain and suffering, mental anguish, medical expenses and physical impairment.

The plaintiff holds Life Time Fitness Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to inspect and discover the dangerous condition of the subject fitness machine and failed to correct or to warn their guests of the existence of such condition.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks damages of more than $100,000, pre- and post-judgment interest and all other relief to which he may be entitled. He is represented by Chad Pinkerton and J. Josh Collum of The Pinkerton Law Firm PLLC in Houston.
