Slip01

BEAUMONT – A Port Neches man claims he was injured at a home improvement store because of dirt or sand on the floor.

Taylor Nunez filed a complaint on Nov. 2 in the Jefferson County District Court against Lowe's Home Centers LLC alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Dec. 15, 2016, he was injured at defendant's store at 8383 Memorial Boulevard in Port Arthur when he slipped and fell in a large pile of dirt or sand on the floor. He alleges he sustained injuries to his neck, right shoulder, right hand, hip and low back and was caused to suffer medical expenses, lose earnings, physical pain and mental anguish.

The plaintiff holds Lowe's Home Center LLC responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to exercise ordinary care or warn guests of the dangerous condition.

The plaintiff seeks monetary relief of more than $200,000 but not more than $1 million and such other just and proper relief. He is represented by Jonathan C. Juhan and J. J. Bragg of Jonathan C. Juhan, Attorney at Law in Beaumont.
