HOUSTON – A Houston woman is seeking more than $1 million after she was injured on an allegedly unsafe elevator.

Elizabeth Fletcher filed a complaint on Nov. 6 in the Harris County District Court against FSP Energy Tower I LLC, FSP Energy Tower I Limited Partnership, et al. alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, on Nov. 12, 2015, the plaintiff was an employee of Energy Tower I and had just finished her shift. The suit states she entered the elevator in the parking garage and the elevator malfunctioned. She alleges the elevator began traveling up and down on its own, causing her to fall and strike her head and body.

The plaintiff holds FSP Energy Tower I LLC, FSP Energy Tower I Limited Partnership, et al. responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to make the elevator's condition safe.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks monetary relief of more than $1 million and such other lawful and equitable relief. She is represented by Lorin R. George of Godsey Law Firm in Houston.
