GALVESTON – The owner of a Galveston property alleges it wasn't paid full coverage for water damage.

Guru Ramdass Corp. filed a complaint on Nov. 13 in the Galveston County District Court against Liberty Mutual Insurance Europe Limited, Kevin Mayfield, et al. alleging violation of the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Act and other counts.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Feb. 22, April 30 and June 16, plaintiff's insured property suffered severe water structural, interior and exterior damages due to water loss. The plaintiff alleges it submitted claims to defendant for damages that the property sustained. It alleges that it was not provided full coverage for the damages.

The plaintiff holds Liberty Mutual Insurance Europe Limited, Mayfield, et al. responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to conduct reasonable investigation and failed to provide full coverage for the damages sustained by plaintiff.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks monetary relief of more than $200,000 but not more than $1 million and such other and further relief. It is represented by Shaun W. Hodge of The Hodge Law Firm PLLC in Galveston.
