BEAUMONT – The owners of a Jeep Wrangler allege their insurance company underpaid the damages the vehicle sustained from Hurricane Harvey.
Jaume Williams and Vania Castelam filed a complaint on Nov. 9 in the Jefferson County District Court against American Access Casualty Co. alleging breach of contract and other counts.
According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that on Aug. 5, Hurricane Harvey damaged their 2007 Jeep Wrangler and they subsequently filed a claim for the total loss of the vehicle under the insurance policy issued by defendant. To date, they allege they have not received full payment for their damaged vehicle.
The plaintiffs hold American Access Casualty Co. responsible because the defendant allegedly wrongfully denied and/or underpaid their claim.
The plaintiffs seek all damages against defendant, attorney's fees, costs, pre- and post-judgment interest and all other general and special relief. They are represented by Michael R. Ramsey and Katherine D. Ramsey of Ramsey Law in Beaumont.
