HOUSTON – A Fort Bend County couple alleges they were injured near the conclusion of a United flight earlier this year, suing the airline in Harris County District Court.

Richard and Regina Blakely, of Missouri City, filed a lawsuit on Dec. 14 in response to the event that occurred last Apr. 10.

The plaintiffs were passengers on a flight from Fort Lauderdale, Fla. to Houston’s George Bush Intercontinental Airport. They assert the aircraft struck the landing strip as it attempted to complete its descent and caused them to be thrown around.

“As a result of the incident, the plaintiffs suffered bodily injuries,” the original petition says.

Consequently, the complainants seek unspecified monetary damages and a jury trial.

They are represented by attorneys David W. Bergquist and Terry McGovern of the Bergquist Law Firm in Houston.
