Man files lawsuit in response to failed swimming pool project

Contract 04

HOUSTON – A failed swimming pool project prompted a Harris County man to file a lawsuit.

Michael Edwards is suing Charles Vostry, doing business as Crimson Pool Co. A recent complaint filed in the Harris County 295th District Court on Dec. 15 explains that Edwards hired Vostry to build a pool at his residence, but the defendant underperformed despite being paid nearly $10,000.

Vostry allegedly performed less than five percent of the work he agreed to do and ultimately abandoned the project, pocketing the funds for himself.

Edwards states that he learned during a legal consultation early last year that the respondent was in violation of the Deceptive Trade Practices Act.

Consequently, the plaintiff seeks unspecified monetary damages and a jury trial.

He is represented by attorney Matthew Chappell of Houston.
