HOUSTON – A Justin man has filed a suit against his former landlord for the refund of his security deposit.
Brad Kelley filed a complaint on Dec. 21, 2017, in the Harris County District Court against 360 & Associates LLC, doing business as 360 Realty & Property Co., alleging failure to timely or properly account.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on July 12, 2015, plaintiff entered into a rental agreement with defendant regarding the premises located at 15423 Grand Sage in Cypress for residential use and made a refundable security deposit in the sum of $1,900. On July 31, 2017, he alleges he vacated the premises and surrendered possession to defendant.
The plaintiff holds 360 & Associates LLC responsible because the defendant allegedly failed and refused to return his security deposit or to provide him with an itemized list of deductions within 30 days after surrendering possession thereof.
The plaintiff seeks damages of $100, plus treble damages of $1,900 or a refund of the security deposit, with interest, attorney's fees, costs and any further legal and equitable relief. He is represented by Catherine Molloy of Evans & Powell PLLC in Houston.
