BEAUMONT – A Houston engineering company alleges it is owed millions for work performed relating to an injunction well.
Sabine Storage & Operations Inc. filed a complaint on Dec. 29, 2017, in the Jefferson County District Court against The Dow Chemical Co. alleging breach of contract, unjust enrichment and other counts.
According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that plaintiff provided materials, labor and subcontractor management for the drilling and completion of defendant's injection well. Due to circumstances outside plaintiff's control, additional expenses were incurred, the suit states. The outstanding balance of $3,482,927.15 allegedly remains due and unpaid for the work.
The plaintiff holds The Dow Chemical Co. responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to pay several invoices.
The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks recoverable damages and all further relief to which it is entitled. It is represented by Eric Lipper, Melissa Nicholson Sternfels and Jessica Levy of Hirsch & Westheimer PC in Houston.
