HOUSTON – Memorial Hermann – Texas Medical Center is facing a malpractice lawsuit from a Harris County man who was confined there in late 2015, per recent Harris County District Court records.

Song Xie filed the suit on Mar. 13 in the Harris County 189th District Court, claiming the hospital released him too soon.

The plaintiff reportedly sought treatment from the defendant for abdominal pain, chest pain, extreme fatigue, and other symptoms on Dec. 24, 2015. He was subsequently admitted for an infection of his heart.

Court documents further explain that Song’s condition never improved during his five-day stay, adding the hospital discharged the patient and entrusted him to his young son who was not fluent in English.

Song says he suffered a stroke following his release and was readmitted back to the facility on Jan. 2, 2016.

Consequently, he seeks unspecified monetary damages and a jury trial.
