More than $200,000 sought from George Bush Intercontinental Airport by woman who fell

Slip01

HOUSTON – A Spring woman alleges she was injured because of the condition of the floor at the George Bush Intercontinental Airport.

Grushenka Tejada filed a complaint on April 16 in the Harris County District Court against city of Houston, Houston Airport System and George Bush Intercontinental Airport alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Aug. 17, 2016, she was injured while walking at Terminal A of the George Bush Intercontinental Airport when she slipped and fell on a dangerous condition of the floor. She alleges the defendants failed to repair or maintain the air conditioning units, ceiling vents or floors.

She alleges she suffered injuries that resulted in pain and suffering, mental anguish, disfigurement, lost wages and loss of household service.

The plaintiff holds the city of Houston, Houston Airport System and George Bush Intercontinental Airport responsible because allegedly despite being aware of the dangerous condition, the defendants failed to make it safe or provide warning that such danger existed.

The plaintiff seeks monetary relief of more than $200,000 but not more than $1 million and any other relief to which she may show herself justly entitled. She is represented by Jeffrey E. Todd of The Todd Law Group PLLC in Houston.
