SHERMAN – A Collin County man has sued Ewing Irrigation Products, Inc. in response to injuries he sustained two years ago at its business in McKinney.

Leopoldo Yruegas filed a lawsuit against the defendant on Apr. 20 in Sherman federal court, claiming a part he purchased caused him to fall off his trailer.

The suit explains that an unidentified store employee was loading the part onto the back of the trailer using a forklift with Yruegas on the bed to assist.

“Suddenly and without warning, the part which was not securely fastened to the forklift rolled off the forklift onto the trailer knocking the plaintiff over and pushing him off the trailer,” court papers explain.

The unnamed employee joins Ewing as a co-defendant in the case.

Consequently, Yruegas seeks unspecified monetary damages and a jury trial.

He is represented by Lennie F. Bollinger of the law firm Wormington & Bollinger in McKinney.
