HOUSTON – An invitee at a Houston company alleges he was injured after falling out of a chair on the premises.

Kenney Easter filed a complaint on May 21 in the Harris County District Court against Ashley Furniture Industries Inc. alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Feb. 21, he was an invitee at defendant's store located at 4500 San Felipe in Houston. While filling out paperwork and trying to get his wallet, he alleges he fell backward out of the chair he was sitting in and was injured.

The plaintiff holds Ashley Furniture Industries Inc. responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to maintain the premises and failed to inform him of the dangerous condition.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks monetary relief of $100,000 or less and such other and further relief to which he may be justly entitled. He is represented by Colton Shufelt and John Arthur Daspit of Daspit Law Firm in Houston.
