HOUSTON – A man alleges he was injured while learning to operate a motorcycle because he was not given adequate, proper and sufficient instruction.

Recep Alay filed a complaint on May 21 in the Harris County District Court against American Speed Inc., doing business as Mancuso Harley-Davidson, John Doe and Jane Doe alleging negligence and other counts.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on Sept. 28, 2016, he went to defendants' facility for training to properly and safely operate a motorcycle. Despite following all instructions, he alleges he fell off the motorcycle and was injured.

The plaintiff holds American Speed Inc., John Doe and Jane Doe responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to give adequate, proper and sufficient instructions and failed to provide appropriate safety equipment.

The plaintiff seeks monetary relief of more than $200,000 but less than $1 million and such other and further relief to which he may be entitled. He is represented by Paul A. Higdon and J. Kevin Shaw of Higdon Lawyers in Houston.
