Property owners allege Cabo Construction damaged home during work to repair Harvey damages

GALVESTON – A Galveston County couple allege a Hitchcock contractor damaged their home while making repairs.

Jordan Mills and Casey Mills filed a complaint on May 31 in the Galveston County District Court against Cabo Construction LTD alleging breach of contract.

According to the complaint, the plaintiffs allege that in Sept. 26, 2017, they hired defendant to perform certain repairs to their residence that had damaged by Hurricane Harvey and paid $8,000 for the same. They allege the defendant damaged some of their items while installing wallboard, that the wallboard was not properly installed, and that this wallboard later had to be replaced because the defendant failed to shut off a water value and caused water to puddle in the home. They allege they dismissed the defendant from the job because of the poor workmanship.

The plaintiffs request seek monetary relief of $100,000 or less, removal of the invalid lien from their property, attorney's fees, costs, interest and such other and further relief to which they are entitled. They are represented by Charles E. Lobb of Murray Lobb PLLC in Houston.
