Representative files negligence suit against Grace Care Center at Northpointe

HOUSTON – An estate representative alleges his decedent was not provided professional services at a Tomball nursing home.

Hugh Robert Wood, individually and as representative of the estate of Peggy Wood, deceased filed a complaint on June 5 in the Harris County District Court against Grace Care Center at Northpointe and Northpoint LTC LTD alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, on Jan. 31, 2014, Peggy Wood was admitted at defendant Grace Care Center for rehabilitation after a fall. The suits that while at the defendant's facility, Peggy Wood fell in May 2014 and May 2015 and suffered a stroke that was diagnosed in March 2016. The suit states she died March 31, 2016. 

The plaintiff holds Grace Care Center at Northpointe and Northpoint LTC LTD responsible because the defendants allegedly failed to provide a sufficient number of nursing personnel and failed to obtain and provide timely and appropriate medical treatment to Peggy Wood.

The plaintiff seeks all damages, with interest, costs and such other and further relief to which he may show himself justly entitled. He is represented by Brian H. Tew of Tew Law Firm in Houston.
