BEAUMONT – A Sabine County resident alleges that she fractured her leg in a fall outside of a Beaumont medical facility.

Letha Irving filed a complaint on May 25 in the Jefferson County District Court against Christus Health Southeast Texas alleging negligence.

According to the complaint, the plaintiff alleges that on March 23, she was injured in a fall while exiting defendant's Christus Outpatient Pavilion. The suit states she fractured her leg and sustained other injuries to her back, shoulder and legs as a result of the fall.

The plaintiff holds Christus Health Southeast Texas responsible because the defendant allegedly failed to clean up the dangerous condition of the floor and failed to adequately warn invitees of the existing danger.

The plaintiff requests a trial by jury and seeks actual and exemplary damages, plus interest, costs of court and such other and further relief to which she is entitled. She is represented by Gilbert T. Adams of Gilbert Adams Law Office in Beaumont.
